Poor Posture
There are many specific causes of poor posture. Here are
two examples:
- Muscle imbalances can result in different patterns of poor
posture such as swayback and round shoulders. Selectively
stretching and
strengthening the involved muscles can help correct this type
of poor posture.
- Sometimes the source of poor posture is from dropping arches (excessive pronation) in the feet, a common condition. This type of poor posture responds well to the use of orthotics.
Ergonomic
correction and
adjustments
are also helpful in the treatment of poor posture.
Parents, don't nag your children about poor posture! Get
an evaluation and get it corrected.
